Sterling Silver Ingots

This 1972 edition of Franklin Mint set of 50 state bank ingots also known as “bankmarked” ingots in its original walnut wood case is a must for collectors! There is one bank for each of the 50 states. The metal is sterling silver with a total weight of sterling at 1000 grains, the equivalent of 104 troy ounces. Each ingot measures 2 ¼ by 1 inch. Included is the original Certificate of Authenticity (which is in perfect condition). The walnut case has a bronze plaque that reads “ limited edition collectors set of the 1972 bankmarked sterling silver ingots issued in each of the 50 states of the union. Minted by the Franklin Mint express idly for…” The walnut case is slightly scratched on the outside and has some dried tape adhesive but surely can be cleaned up and restored. The structure of the case is strong and like new, the interior is like brand new with a royal felt lining that houses each ingot. A plastic cover fits over each of the 50 states and protects them. Each ingot is in excellent condition.
