I bought this bar at an estate sale a couple of years ago.Now i need money ,it has to go.Now,I have no provenance for this apparently silver bar.The bar appears to be silver,it feels like and rings like silver.It weighs approx 27 oz's.It is stamped BOC and .999.I took it to 2 local dealers a while back,one did an acid test on it,and the results he said were .900 silver at minimum.Both dealers said it was the real deal,but the only way to tell for sure was destructive testing,which I don't want to do.I am suspicious because there is no hallmark that I recognize,there is only what appears to be Oriental figures on it.There is a better than even chance it is a nice 865 grams silver bar,BUT YOU MUST USE YOUR OWN BEST JUDGEMENT WHEN BIDDING.DYODD.I have exellent feedback because I don't sell junk,and my descriptions are as accurate as I can make them.There will be NO REFUNDS on this item.Be sure that you will be happy if this bar is .999 pure,.900 or a paperweight.Also,if anyone can translate the writing on the bar,please let me know what it says.Thank you.On Jan-03-10 at 20:00:00 PST, seller added the following information: Someone asked if BOC could be Bank Of China or Bank Of Canada-I don't know.It is obviously a poured bar.The stamping is definately .999
